Earlier, the designers were segregated in the organisation. Bringing a consistency in design became a challenge. The created designs were not being evaluated.

Holistic UX support
A UX workshop was organised with all the lead stakeholders in Germany. all decision makers sat together and observed the product from the perspective of the users. As a result, 03 years of roadmap was planned to enhance the user experience of the product.
Third party integration
On a construction site, several OEM products are used simultaneously. In WorksManager, the data from third party equipment was integrated. The data security and file types were major parameters to enable the integration.
Trimble Connect Integration
As a result of in-studio design ideation sessions, team discovered if the WorksManager is integrated with cloud, it will make the data more secured as it will be saved remotely, and it will make workflows faster. Access to data can also be monitored well.

Jack is responsible to visit the site and take the actual survey. He receives the tasks from Phil and contacts Phil in case of any challenge on the field. Phil approves the survey before Jack leaves the survey site
Phil - the survey incharge
Phil is senior surveyor, he works from office and visits the survey site in case of any urgency or challenge. Phil manages multiple surveys at one time. He approves the surveys before surveyors leave the survey site.
Max - the project lead
Max is the project lead. One project may contain several survey sites. Max deals with the end customers and is the final approver to conclude one survey project. Max handles the timelines of the projects.

End to End Design creation
Holistic UX Design process implementation. Understanding the drone industry, the user expectations, ideating and creating concepts aligned with users and technically feasible. Creating a mockup, got approved and created final designs for the application.
Connected surveying
The air, land and water surveying are handled individually and creates challenges when a land has multiple terrains. Concepts to align all three types of surveying with connect dots, it will reduce the training time, will simplify data transfer and connectivity
Trimble Experience
Implemented ‘Trimble Experience’ fully in the application, checked feasibility and aligned engineering team too. This became first product to go to market which had fully implemented new design system.

The workflows were large in number and procedures were complex and sensitive to countries borders and policies, the onboarding for new members was 04 weeks long, with multiple user interviews and trainee interviews, we shortened the onboarding process to 01 week

Samsung Email enables users to manage multiple personal and business email accounts seamlessly. Samsung Email also offers integration for business, encryption to safeguard data and ease-of-use features such as insightful notifications, spam-management. Furthermore, organisations can administer various policies as needed.
Air trade : Freight carried by air and surface, global coverage for 2000 commodities per trade lane. Express : Air express trade flows by trade lane and industry in shipments and weight.
Market dynamics reports
Receive actionable analyses on relevant air and ocean freight trends via market reports, exclusively available to our clients. Translating trends into quantitative insight.
Design ownership transfer
Made a pitch demonstrating the capability of the team and ensuring seamless transfer and maintenance of the application. The global app ownership is very crucial for studio portfolio. The development is also happening in India, it was easy to coordinate with engineering team to take quicker decisions.

Addition of a new customer
Protected by KNOX, Samsung Email is one of the safest email client. The customers are enterprise level and they use it for organisation level communication. The design should support the responsibility the task demands. We minutely studied all the use cases and customised it for one new customer.
"Aapke Sachche Advisor" (True Advisor) a marketing campaign by Max Life Insurance launched around 2012, emphasising honest, customer-centric, and need-based selling in the insurance sector to fight mis-selling. The campaign aims to build trust through ethical advice.
Evangelising UX

There was an app which was used to recommend best suited insurance products to the users. As the results were suggested by the application, not the agent, people tend to believe more. My job was to enhance the usage of the application and enhance the efficiency.
Making workflows quicker
Store, view, or share your health records in Samsung Health. Health records in the Samsung Health app allow you to check and manage your medical data, such as allergies, current conditions, immunisations, and medications. These records are conveniently stored in the Samsung Health app, so you can refer to them as often as needed. You’ll also be able to export your health records right from your phone.
In air cargo, time is currency. shortening workflows, and enhancing efficiency in tasks aiming at reducing the overall time taken for all air shipments. Created end to end workflow working closely with project managers, then identified opportune areas to enhance the efficiency
UX research over chai
I called multiple Max Life Agents as prospect customer and requested them to suggest me best suited product. I observed they all were skipping multiple(20+) screens! The task flow was long and it was taking long time and a lot of information to suggest a product. Created a UX report based on the findings on ground, which lead to a new holistic UX research and ultimately app was optimised to support the Sachche Advisors better.

Design ownership transfer
PHR was already done in USA, it was being extended to India, Being a studio in India and located in vicinity of engineering team it was easier to design and develop it in India. Pitched it to Samsung Health Leadership and the design for EHR in India transferred to India Studio.

Huge population, a healthcare system totally dependent on paper and physical records, availability of same medicine in different shapes and forms: are few of the various challenges EHR in India is facing. Worked with PM team to find solutions for these challenges.

Eka Care Part
To bring the benefits of EHR to people in India, partnership with Eka Care was made, the organisation has prior experience of the domain. The partnership enabled linking the users with their UIDAI, to make all medical data available for quicker diagnosis.
Inventory management
One Transformer toy is made from more than hundred different parts. All the toys have multiple colours and come in different sizes. The inventory management tool aimed at switching from excel to a dedicated software.
Personalised 360 Audio
Personalised 360 Audio brings natural audio listening experiences to the digital world. The personalisation is precise and accurate as the system creates a profile from more than 50,000 points of the face, making it tailored for every individual. Samsung Account makes the profile available in all connected devices. Accurately personalised 360 audio opens a gateway to new immersive audio experiences to complement the evolving immersive visual experiences.
Manufacturing optimisation
All the parts of same colour, irrespective of toy character or toy size, were casted at once. Maintaining number of final toys manufactured was a challenge, which was solved by design.
Focus and efficiency
User profile for audio 360 was a bit tricky as it required to calculate the distance between the ear and centre of the face, to do this user has to rotate their faces, and doing that they can not see the screen. It was resolved with active haptic feedback. As the development was happening with Dolby, the design iterations were difficult and had to plan well to meet the timelines.
Learnt that bringing focus at task in hand increased the efficiency many folds. The excel tables were replaced with visual dashboards for more focus, quicker decision making and enhanced efficiency.
Interaction design support
Award pitch creation
360 audio was already available in competitor devices but Samsung Personalised 360 audio was being developed along with Dolby, making it best in class. Team was struggling to write a pitch for awards. I was in a retreat in nature and suddenly realised that nature sound is 360, tat became the opening sentence if the design pitch, which bagged an award too
Samsung India Keyboard
India is witnessing an exponential rise in vernacular users across tiers. As the majority of more than 1.3 billion people in India which is the world’s 2nd largest smartphone market, rely heavily on local language and scripts, it becomes essential to innovate and improve the typing experience to support emerging vernacular needs.With an aim to make the text input experience, intuitive and inclusive for the growing number of vernacular users in India, we are proud to introduce the ‘New Samsung India Keyboard’ which makes typing in over 29 Indian regional languages faster, easier and seamless.
Type it as you write it
Designed based on the phonetic principles of the Devanagri script the keyboard is structured to mirror the writing method of Indian languages, making the typing experience as easy as writing
With faster typing speed and reduced chances of errors, the new keyboard empowers both advanced and beginners in regional language typing.
The Devanagari Script
The Devanagari script was developed in India in 4th century CE. The letters are ordered based on the phonetic principles that consider both manner and place of articulation of the consonants and vowels they represent. The arrangement is called ‘Varnamala’, means the garland of the letters.
The Phonetic Principles
The consonants are grouped based on the way they are being spoken, the phonetic principles example: the letters which are spoken by touching the tongue to front teeth (ta tha da dha na) are called Dental and so on. There are 7 groups of consonants as depicted below.
The Letter Matrix and Orientation
The arrangement of letters is a perfect matrix, which has a leading consonant and then a set of four following consonants. The group of five have a primary sound and then the following similar sounds.

The changed orientation retains the phonetic principles and the association of leading and following letters.

The new layout as per the vertical alignment of the Devanagari script makes it effortless to find the letters and upfront combinations makes it really fast to type.
Ambidextrous
The clear segregation of vowels and consonants provides balanced typing load on both the hands. As consonants are selected by one hand and vowels are selected by another, the typing experience remains same for both left and right hand users.

The keyboard layout is designed in a way that it can support 29 different Indian languages in the same grid.

Monetisation INdia Taskforce
With the launch of multiple Chinese mobile brands in India, the market share for Samsung was impacted. The Chinese brands were playing a low price competitiveness strategy. As Samsung follows best manufacturing and material quality standards, it was became necessary to find methods to reduce the cost of the device while maintaining the same high quality standards of both software and hardware. With this aim, Monetisation INdia Taskforce was made. MINT is a taskforce of thought leaders from all domains.
Samsung Discover
A delay in app download in T2 & T3 as compared to T1, was observed. The major reason was slower reach of new applications in T2 and T3. This gave rise to Discover App, a place at homescreen which brings all the latest and most relevant apps to the user with one tap install. Discover App also increased the traffic on Galaxy Store India.
Discover was launched in all M series and contributed significantly in overall Monetization Targets
